ECG & PHARMACOLOGY
ECG & PHARMACOLOGY is the ONLY course of its kind from the American Heart Association focusing soley on this critical knowledge. It is a classroom course is designed to improve electrocardiogram (ECG) recognition skills and pharmacology knowledge for treating cardiovascular emergencies. Student can/may use this classroom-based course as preparation for the ACLS course.
AUDIENCE: This course is for healthcare professionals who participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies, including:
Emergency Response
Emergency Medicine

Physicians

Others who requrie this specialized knowledge for their job
COURSE CONTENT:
Basic electrophysiology
Normal ECG measurements
Basic arrhythmias
Administration of appropriate drugs within the ACLS algorithms
COURSE FORMAT: This course is classroom-based, facilitator-led that includes two modules: ECG and PHARMACOLOGY. Each course may be offered together or separately.
ECG is approximately 3.5 hours
Pharmacology is approximately 2.75 hours
Combined the estimated course is 6.25 hours
