Course Content:

Basic Anatomy & Physiology of the Cardiovascular System - Basic anatomy and physiology concepts that later permit the                                  trainee to understand the clinical concepts and skills associated with CPR. Colorful animations enhance                                              comprehension.


Basic Anatomy & Physiology Evaluation Exercise - Interactive animations reinforces the important concepts


Basic Adult CPR Training - Multi-media training sequences including realistic animations that address assessment, calling for help,                          proper positioning of the airway, rescue breathing using face shields, techniques for providing quality chest                                          compression, strategies for 1 and 2 person CPR, and personal protection while providing CPR.


Basic Obstructed Airway - Progressive techniques for relieving an obstructed airway caused by a foreign body taught through                                  video, practical application, and animations for adults and children.


AED Training - Basic AED training, utilizing an AED trainer, will provide a review assessment, CPR skills, and are allows the                                      student to perform each physical task through active simulations. At the conclusion, students have demonstrated                                their ability to appropriately respond to common cardiac arrest scenarios.


Basic First Aid Training - Interactive audio/visual training program designed to instruct the trainee in basic first aid. Each section                              begins with the underlying Anatomy and Physiology and progresses to assessment and treatment. Includes Airway                              and Breathing Emergencies, Cardiovascular Emergencies, Environmental Emergencies, Bleeding, Shock, Major and                          Minor Trauma, and Burns.


Basic Safety on the Job - Interactive audio/visual training program designed to instruct the trainee in the importance and steps of a                          safety checks throughout the house. Includes the importance of supervision and how a babysitter's cautious attitude                            can help keep children safe while the trainee participates in exercise scenarios looking for safety hazards.


Basic Childcare Training - Interactive audio/visual training program designed to instruct the trainee in the importance hand                                      washing for both the caregiver and child, cleanliness, and appropriate food choices. Trainees will learn how to                                      change diapers, assist young children in using the toilet. In addition, trainees will have a basic understanding of age-                          appropriate playtime activities for infants, toddles, and kids while engaging in cooperation behavior and redirecting                              uncooperative behavior in the crying baby.
