Advanced Cardiac Life Support ACLS
Advanced Cardiac Life Support ACLS has been upadated to reflect the NEW SCIENCE in the 2015 AHA Guidelines. It builds on the foundation of the BLS CPR lifesaving skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous HIGH-QUALITY CPR. This advanced course highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes or ACS.
This Instructor-led course allows students to participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students, in groups, along with the Instructor will work to complete the various ACLS skill practice stations and testings. Student must complete a written exam and receive a score of 84% or higher to successfully pass the class.
AUDIENCE: This course is for those in the healthcare profession (certified / non-certified or licensed / non-licensed) who need a course completion card in Advanced Cardiac Life Support in order to meet certain jobs, regulatory, or other requirements. COURSE CONTENT:
Importance of HIGH-QUALITY CPR and impact on surviving cardiac arrest
Early Recognition and management of respiratory arrest
Early Recognition and management of cardiac arrest
Early Recognition and management of peri-arrest conditions (symptomatic bradycardia)

Related Pharmacology

Effective communication with members of the code team and leadership
COURSE FORMAT: This course is classroom-based which includes instructor, video, and skills interaction throughout the course. This course is 12 hours in length for initial provider and 6 hours length for update / re-certification.
